When a TV does not have an updated certificate, it does not offer secure connections for app servers. They are not bringing an update to their older TVs which led to expiry of certificates. This is because the tv manufacturers are not cooperating with Plex. Even Plex has announced through its forums and mails that they won’t be able to show contents on older smart TVS. These issues are occurring on older versions of a smart TV. There are some other troubles like black screen, subtitles not appearing, app crashes and more. Why is Plex not working on my Samsung TV?
